Rhino numbers have been crashing in the wake of a recent spike in poaching.

A "herd" of rhinoceros is called a CRASH.

This crash was safe, for the time being.

Did this happen to be in Kruger? We saw a rhino while we were there with an intensely long horn that looked very similar to this fellow. I wasn't lucky enough to get a picture this close, but he was amazing to see!

Have you heard about/seen the programs which tranquelize wild rhinos and humanely remove their horns [they grow back in about 2/3 years] so they are not targeted by poachers? I forget where I read about it :confused: Maybe NatGeo.
